We welcome everyone with a desire to learn more about Apple products, to visit us!

CMUG has supported the Fort Worth Macintosh computer user community with knowledge, experience, training and friendship since 1988. We started with Macintosh Computers and the Mac Operating System, and now we include programs & training on iPhones, iPads, parts, accessories, and whatever else Apple develops.

Beginners computer users and new Apple owners, this is the place for lots of training, advice and tutoring. Suitable for ages 14 to 104.

Our group includes experts in software and hardware, software & hardware vendors, and other Apple User Groups. We are diverse: retirees, housewives,  college & young professionals, college instructors, graphic designers, tech geeks, young and old, with many interests, knowledge and experiences.

Lion 10.7

It might be hard to believe that it's been nearly 12 years since OS X was officially announced for the Macintosh. We have seen 8 different "Big Cat" versions of OS X since then. Last July, (yes, almost a year ago) the 9th version of OS X was released, OS 10.7, Lion.

Some of us have been hold outs with the known reliably, stability and versatility of trusty 10.6 Snow Leopard and we were just getting comfortable with MobileMe, but now with iCloud making the scene, it's time for some of us to make the move.

Tim Baker will be presenting a Keynote and a live demo of Apple's latest new operating system, Lion 10.7.

And if that isn't quite enough for those that have already made the move to Lion or have purchased a new Mac with Lion preinstalled Tim will also be presenting a live "sneak peak" of Mountain Lion 10.8 coming later this summer. The 10th version of OS X!
